Trisha's Thoughts

What Am I Thankful For?

Today is Thanksgiving and I’m in the UK where they don’t celebrate it.  The closest place that is serving Thanksgiving dinner is in London and that’s because that’s where most of the ex-pats live, so some of the pubs have the ‘traditional’ thanksgiving dinner.
My husband is in Brussels all day for work and won’t be home till later so I spend this Thanksgiving day alone.
Being alone on Thanksgiving isn’t so bad.  It gives me time to think about what I am thankful for:
  • My kids.  Without them I would of never survived this far and never known love like I do because of them.
  • My husband.  Without him I wouldn’t of seen the world in a new light and changed into the woman I am today.  I would of never known this kind of love without him.
  • My parents. Without them I wouldn’t have life and the morals I live with every day.  Without them I wouldn’t be able to love.
  • My step-children. Without them I wouldn’t know what it’s like to love someone else’s creation other than my own.
  • My friends.  Without them I wouldn’t have laughter.
  • My family.  Without them I wouldn’t have memories.
  • Facebook.  Yes, Facebook.  Without Facebook I wouldn’t have the ability to keep in contact with friends and family and watch their lives unfold.
  • My health.  I’m healthy and it rocks!
  • My beauty.  It will fade with time, but I’m thankful that I still have it.
  • My work & my clients.  So many people out of work and I am blessed to have a job.
  • The peace within myself.  I have finally found peace within myself and it has made me a better person.
  • My life.  I live a blessed life and I am thankful for this experience.
There are so many things that I am thankful for this year and every year that goes by.  I could go on and on about what I am thankful for, but I have to get back to life now.
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
Until next time…..
