I’m confused and fed up! I’m so fed up that I could just scream! Arrrrrrrrrrgh! Ok, there, I did. I don’t feel better though.
This morning I read about a black NBA star who had just come out and said that he was gay. To tell you the truth, I don’t give a shit if he’s gay or not, but what gets me is that immediately the White House (Michelle O and her husband) call this guy and congratulate him for coming out. For being brave. For telling the world that he is gay and he is proud! Well good for him. I’m glad that he’s proud, I’m glad that he is “brave”, and I’m glad that he’s admitted who he is sexually, but did we really need to know? Did we really need to know that he was gay? Do we really care?
This is making big news people and it’s not. Well at least not to me.
What I want to know is where was our Commander & Chief when the Benghazi attacks happened? They could of done something, but didn’t. They called and needed help and nothing was done, but something could of been done. That’s OK though, they weren’t gay sports stars so they didn’t matter, so they just swept it under the rug.
The priorities of the government, especially our Prez are nothing but ridiculous! This guy is really not for the American people my friends. His holidays, his golf games, his lack of sending anyone from the US over to Margaret Thatcher’s funeral to pay respects shows his lack of concern for all of us and the list goes on and on.
Our country’s priorities are under question as well as individuals. Just look at the reality shows that are on TV. Hell, people would rather watch American Idol or The Kardashians, they would rather want to know about Kim’s baby and what she’s wearing today, than read a book and learn.
It makes me sick how we dumb down our kids with the American public education system. Every year it gets worse. Every year we turn out kids who don’t know the difference of their, they’re, and there. A lot of kids are reading at a 6th grade level when they graduate from high school. How does this happen?
People care more about a gay sports star coming out to the world than they care about what is truly going on around them. I say “open your eyes America” all the time, but no one listens. Soon it will be to late and there will be nothing that you will be able to do. You mock me because I believe in conspiracy theories and don’t trust my government and don’t want my rights taken away? You’ll see when it happens, and you won’t be mocking me any more.
