Trisha's Thoughts

Live, Die Why Are We Here?

all men must dieLife is funny.  You’re born without a care in the world, you live (well some of us), and then you die.

What’s funny is that moment between your birth and your death.  “Valar Morghulis”, or “All Men Must Die” as quoted in the show Game of Thrones, is the single most absolute thing that you count on in this world.  When you’re born you haven’t a care in the world, but as you grow you start to learn about life and life is basically taught to you first off by your parents, and God knows that they don’t really know what they’re doing.  I mean they think they do, but each child comes with a new set of rules that our parents don’t have a hand book for.

As we mature we realize that there is something greater out there beyond our reach and we strive to grasp it while coming short each time of wrapping our hands around whatever IT is.  But we keep trying.  We wake up every day and we keep on pushing ourselves to get out of bed and try.

Sometimes we ask ourselves what is it that we are here for.  I know that I do and have done so many times in my life, and I still don’t know.  Does anybody?  When you die is that the moment that you realize what you were here on this small little speck of a planet for?  Where is that moment where you realize what reason you have to be alive?  I think some of us get clarity on that question while we are here, but I truly think that the rest of us never do while we are alive.  Why is that?

We will all die eventually, but what we do now is what is important.  Live your life.  No really, LIVE it.  Do things you want to do, say things you want to say, love what you want to love, and never stop trying.  Because whatever it is that we are here for must be pretty important because we were picked to live it.

These are things I think about sometimes.

Until next time…

I have had the same thoughts. I think most everyone has. Just live your life and see what happens. It is certainly a journey.
